Arvin K. Rao, MD

Dr. Rao is a Colorado native.  After graduating from Cherry Creek High School in 1993, he attended Hanover College where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with majors in both chemistry and philosophy.   After undergraduate studies, he returned to Denver for medical training at the University of Colorado.  Dr. Rao graduated from the School of Medicine with honors and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.  He completed an internship in general surgery and residency in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at West Virginia University.  He served his final year as chief resident in otolaryngology and graduated in 2006 with multiple publications and presentations at national specialty meetings.

Dr. Rao returned to Denver in 2006 to start his practice, specializing in the comprensensive medical & surgical care of the ear, nose and throat in both children and adults.  He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, American Association of Otolaryngologic Allergy, and Colorado Medical Society.  He serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. His subspecialty interests include nose and sinus disease, allergy, voice, and swallowing disorders.  Dr. Rao is married and lives in Denver with his wife, Suchitra, and their two sons.  His interests outside medicine include hiking, mountain biking, photography, and scuba diving.

Lori Stander, PA-C

Lori left South Denver ENT & Allergy on November 9, 2017.  We thank Lori for her years of dedicated care and service.

Lori is a Colorado native and a graduate of Columbine High School. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Metropolitan State College of Denver in Adult Fitness and Exercise Science, working thereafter as Professional Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center for several years, with a focus on Peripheral Arterial Disease and Diabetes. She then pursued her career in medicine in the Child Health Associate and Physician Assistant program at the University of Colorado, obtaining her Master of Physician Assistant Studies in 2008.Lori is a nationally board certified Physician Assistant, and a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She joined South Denver ENT & Allergy in 2008. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeff, and their two young kids, Avery and Kade. Her personal interests include hiking, backpacking, golfing, and volunteering at her church.
