Arvin K. Rao, MD

Dr. Rao is a Colorado native.  After graduating from Cherry Creek High School in 1993, he attended Hanover College where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with majors in both chemistry and philosophy.   After undergraduate studies, he returned to Denver for medical training at the University of Colorado.  Dr. Rao graduated from the School of Medicine with honors and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.  He completed an internship in general surgery and residency in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at West Virginia University.  He served his final year as chief resident in otolaryngology and graduated in 2006 with multiple publications and presentations at national specialty meetings.

Dr. Rao returned to Denver in 2006 to start his practice, specializing in the comprehensive medical & surgical care of the ear, nose and throat in both children and adults . He is a fellow of the American Association of Otolaryngic Allergy and member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and Colorado Medical Society.  He serves as a Senior Clinical Instructor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Associate Clinical Professor at Rocky Vista University.  His subspecialty interests include nose and sinus disease, allergy, voice, and swallowing disorders.  Dr. Rao is married and lives in Denver with his wife, Dr. Suchitra Rao, and their two sons.  His interests outside medicine include hiking, mountain biking, photography, music, and scuba diving.

Kaitlyn Seltzer, FNP-BC

Kaitlyn Seltzer, FNP-BC, MSN, RN

South Denver ENT is proud to introduce our newest provider, Kaitlyn Seltzer, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, to our group.  Kaitlyn earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Nursing from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.  Kaitlyn began her professional career in otolaryngology 10 years ago specializing in both adult and pediatric otolaryngology in Detroit, Michigan.  She also spent 3 years working in primary care and 1 year in emergency medicine.  She is extremely passionate about otolaryngology and enjoys educating her patients and families about the management of their health conditions.  She deeply values the patient-provider relationship and prides herself on developing strong, trusting bonds with her patients.  She has a specialist interest in otology (care of the ears). Kaitlyn is credentialed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is an active member in the American Nurses Association as well as the National Society for Collegiate scholars. She was also awarded Top Nurse Practitioner of 2019 by The Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare.  Kaitlyn is a self-described outdoor enthusiast who spends her free time hiking with her 3-year-old greyhound rescue, Mia. She also enjoys gardening and all winter sports. We look forward to having her and thank you for joining us in welcoming Kaitlyn to the team.


Carrie Chanos, PA-C

Carrie joined South Denver ENT with thirteen years experience as a Physician Assistant in a variety of settings. Upon graduation from the CHA/PA program at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 2006, Carrie started her career as a PA in family medicine. Her passion for ENT and allergy began when her first son was diagnosed with allergies as an infant and asthma as a young child. Having lived her entire life in Colorado and understanding the importance of an active lifestyle to most Coloradans, Carrie is dedicated to helping the patients at South Denver ENT & Allergy live their best life possible. This dedication to health and well-being extends beyond the office where she also works as a group fitness instructor. Additionally, Carrie serves as a professor at the PA school at Rocky Vista University. Her free time is spent camping, skiing, and playing sports with her two sons and husband.
